SATs Week
The Year 6 tests will take place from Monday 14th -Friday 18th May 2012.
Year 5 and 6
Topics this term
During Literacy this half term we will be looking at poetry, discussion and persuasion, research and use of language.
In Maths will be calculating, measuring and problem solving, we will also be looking closely at decimals and fractions.
Our topic this term is Space – this will involve work around the Solar System. In science we will investigating the Earth, Sun and Moon. In Design and Technology we will be designing, making and evaluating a rocket launch.
We will also be spending time talking about our goals in life. In P.E. will be exploring a range of dance types and in Games we will be looking at Basketball.
Homework
Homework will be sent home on a Friday and is due in the following Tuesday.
P.E. Days
Mrs Tulloch’s and Mr Blowman’s classes will have P.E. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Mrs Eley’s class will have P.E. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
