Year 3 and 4

Spring Term 2012
The theme for this term is ‘Tomb Raiders’. The children will be developing their knowledge and learning new skills through this theme. For instance, in Geography, we will be studying the River Nile and its importance to farming in the area and we will be looking back in history to the time of the Ancient Egyptians, Pharaohs and pyramids.
In Science we will be looking at solids and liquids and how they can be separated. We will also be looking at how the skeleton is related to movement and support in humans.
In Art the children will be designing their own Pharaoh’s mask.
This term the focus for ICT will be on using images to create repeating patterns and developing their understanding of branching databases.
In RE our topics will cover Founders and Leaders and Spring Festivals including Easter.
