Home Learning Update 24th March 2020

Dear Parents,

Last week paper home learning packs were sent home with all children. Those who weren't in school have had them delivered by school staff or the Royal Mail. As we do not know how long school will be closed for currently, we will continue to update the website with links to useful websites/apps and other home learning.

Maths - Home Learning

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope that you have found the home learning packs given out last week useful in getting started with home learning. We are regularly adding new resources and links to our website to support in continued home learning. Today, I wanted to share with you some specific resources for Mathematics.

In school, we follow 'White Rose Maths' and they have started publishing resources for parents on their website:

Year 5 and 6 residential to Anglesey July 2020

With the closure of schools, we still want you to know that plans for the residential are still to go ahead. We are keeping in constant contact with organisations that oversee Outdoor Education in the UK and they all expect residential experiences booked within the UK to be able to go ahead later this summer in June and July.

We are therefore continuing with all plans as they were initially set out by your school organiser unless informed otherwise by the government.

Message from our CEO

Dear Parents and Carers

We are living through historic and unprecedented events. For schools to be closing for an unspecified period of time would have been unimaginable just a few weeks ago. Our number priority has been and will remain to be the safety and security of our pupils. We do however, understand the need for some schools to remain open in order for key personnel to ensure the safety of the nation and to keep the country functioning.
